If you did not, there are probably still some things here for you.

My name is David G. Johnston, the “G” increasing the odds of having my identifer be unique in the many communities that I am a part of. But, please, call me Dave. At the dawn of the commerical internet I also adpoted the pseudonym of Polobo which you will see as my handle on various services, GitHub in particular. I have recently begun to adpot another pseudonym that speaks more to my current persona: Enigamtic Sphinx. Finally, in my business-oriented pursuits I am DevelDog Development, Inc.

I am a self-professed “jack of many trades”, with a tendency to move about the world like a nomad. Bringing my unique perspective, while also learning from others.

That said, my core experience is Automotive Dealership Database Modelling in PostgreSQL. Because PostgreSQL has been my selfless and constant companion, much of my recent public wanderings have been focused on aiding the community surrounding it. Primarily in answering questions and making suggestions, but also submitting and reviewing patches to the core project.

My presence here, on this site, is mostly going to be one-way. However, I do welcome discussion and have listed the various places you can locate me if you wish to have one. Engaging and informative discussions will likely be edited and summarized and then posted here for posterity.

When I’m not engaging with people in virtual communities I am generally either engaging with the real world’s beautiful natural and constructed landscapes, or with the creativity and challenges of human-made imaginary worlds. Do not be surprised if I am indiscriminate with whom I share my experiences in all the various worlds my wanderlust takes me to.
